He is Associate Professor in the Department of Physics, Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumakuru, Karnataka. He obtained MSc in Physics from Bangalore University securing fourth rank and was awarded PhD in Physics from Gulbarga University. He has more than fifteen years of teaching and research experience, and has taught subjects such as Engineering Physics, Electromagnetic Field Theory, Fields and Waves, etc. Manohara has published more than thirty research papers in peer-reviewed international journals. He is also a reviewer of various journals of international repute and has participated/presented several research papers in international/national conferences. He has edited/reviewed textbooks for various publishers of national and international repute.
Manohara has received many awards, fellowships and recognitions, which include VGST-Young Scientist, IASc-INSA-NASI Research Fellowship, Marquis Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Travel Fellowships (DST, UGC, CCSTDS and CICS), etc. He has visited Italy and South Korea as a guest scientist to participate in the conferences sponsored by the Government of India (DST, UGC, CCSTDS and CICS) and has organised various conferences/workshops/FDP programme. He is a member of various scientific societies such as MRSI, ICS, IAPT, etc. His areas of research interest include nanotechnology, radiation physics and materials science.
