Has completed M. Sc., by securing first rank with three gold medals during 1993. Obtained her M. Phil., degree in Fluid Mechanics from Gulbarga University during 1994 and Ph.D., (Fluid Mechanics) from Bangalore University during the year 2007.

She is actively involved in research activities and has more than 25 publications in reputed national and international journals. She has delivered invited talks in international, national and state level conferences.  She has completed Major and Minor Research Projects, sanctioned by UGC. She has guided one student for Ph.D. She also has conducted workshops on Scilab and Maxima for the teachers of Davanagere University, Tumkur University, Mysore University and Bangalore University and prepared lab manuals in Scilab, Maxima and Python. She has worked as member of BoE and BoS of various autonomous colleges. She has received a trainer certificate from IISER, Pune, in research-based pedagogy in teaching (RBPT), an MHRD initiative in association with British Council of India.

She was involved in the preparation of the syllabus for the entrance exam for the post of Assistant Professors for UG course of Karnataka state.

She has 26 years of teaching experience for undergraduates including 13 years for postgraduates. Presently she is working as Associate Professor and heading the Department of Mathematics, Maharani's Science College for Women, Maharani Cluster University, Bangalore.
